La Baronne

La Baronne owners the Famille Lignères have for the last few years dedicated themselves to the Burgundian model of demarcation. Their estate covers 90 hectares of very low-yielding vines on the Montagne d’Alaric, one of the finest parts of the Corbières, between Narbonne and Carcassonne, and produce some of the best wines in the South of France using organic and bio-dynamic methods.

Working with Stefano Chioccioli (a renowned Tuscan winemaker) they have identified specific parcels  in their vineyards with unique terroir and micro climates and treat each plot individually. The result is a range of very fine, individual, long-lived red wines made fromold-vine Carignan, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah and two remarkable white wines made fromRoussanne and Rolle (Vermentino).
